Across our portfolios, we have cover about 50 stocks in the Indian market. Within these stocks, we plan our investments 1 to 10 year period, and we have estimated the stock price targets for 1 to 3 years, based on earning growth projections. We also trade in the same set of stocks, while keeping the trading capital separate from investment capital.
Assuming the projected 8% GDP growth of Indian economy over next 5 years, and the EPS growth of our stocks, our 5 year price targets may look unreal for investors from America and Europe.
We believe that for every 1 unit of our capital, our advisory service can move 1000 units of additional capital through our clients towards the same opportunities that we have identified.
Therefore, we always identify opportunities keeping our clients in mind; we have an idea of the collective buying power of our clients, and every opportunity has to be large enough so that even if all our clients decided to put money into it, the opportunity is not destroyed by a sharp price increase. Therefore, we find opportunities in companies with market cap above Rs 1000 crore ($200 million).
